MR (Medium Rigid) or HR (Heavy Rigid) Licences
Medium Rigid will only require a Synchromesh (same as a car) Gearbox
Heavy Rigid will require a Synchromesh or in some cases a Crash Gearbox, some buses with three axles have Road Ranger or Spicer Crash gearboxes, these are becoming more and more obsolete with many buses being fitted with AUtomatic transmissions.
Drivers Authorisation (DA) Required if the vehicle is used for "hire" or "charter"
If the vehicle is not used for hire or charter i.e. just to get workers to a minesite, then no DA is required.
