For the low down on how it all works go to our links section, and to the Department of Transport website or click here www.transport.qld.gov.au
There are specific Tenure periods to obtain a Heavy Vehicle licence in Queensland. You must hold a car licence for 1 year minimum to be eligible for a MR (Medium Rigid) licence. And two years to move from a car licence to a HR (Heavy Rigid).
The applicant does a sufficient amount of lessons (everyone is different and have a range of strengths and weaknesses), in whichever licence class they are applying for and then Tenni's Driving School will book the applicant in for a practical driving test with the Department of Transports Driving Examiner.
Department of Transport Examiners are very experienced at Testing and expect a standard of driving skills and knowledge, to ensure their is a high safety standard on our roads.
This is the short version, there is a little more to the process and we are happy to explain in more detail if you wish
