Is there any special requirements before I start a lesson?

Yes, you must wear covered in footwear, carry your licence on you at all times, and have a 'ZERO' Blood Alcohol Level. 

Does it matter that I have only ever driven a car before?

Not at all, that's what we are here for, we will teach you every thing you need to know on how to operate a Heavy Vehicle.

It has been a long time since I have driven a truck, is there some way I could go for a drive?

Yes, of course, we call these refresher courses, we will have a qualified Heavy Vehicle instructor with you and you can ask as many questions as you need to get everything familiar again.  Quite often there have been some fairly major changes to legislation regarding Log Books, Fatigue Management, and Compliance and this is an ideal environment for someone to get up to date with these changes.

How many lessons will it take for me to get my licence?

This differs greatly from client to client, depending on how fast a person learns a new task and retains it.  Our lessons are structured to help you learn a new task then behind the scenes we test you over and over on the skill you have learnt in a range of different traffic situations.

We can only ever give you feedback on what the "average" amount of lessons are, however this should not be a yardstick for your personal performance.

Do I really have to "STOP" at a "STOP" Sign?

OK,... this one really takes some thought, so give us some time to think about this... yip, yip, yip, yip, YES.  Do STOP at a STOP sign, the requirement is that the vehicle comes to a complete stop, there is no specified time period, it must just come to a complete STOP.
