Tenni's Driving School (TDS) established in 1980, has undergone some fairly major renovations and innovations since the current owners took over in September 2006. With over 10 years industry experience in both Metalliferous and Coal mining in Australia the new owners are offering mining companies the pre-requisite Heavy Vehicle mining training to all their valued students.
One of the biggest changes has been replacing the old out dated equipment with the new state of the art Kenworth T604 Prime Mover (Tractor Unit for those from other countries). This vehicle is used for Training future HR, HC and MC license holders, (HR - Heavy Rigid, HC - Heavy Combination and MC - Multi Combination).
In the past TDS predominantly just sold Truck Driving Lessons.
The new direction since September 2006 is an integrated approach to building the person. Training that person with the skills and knowledge required for a strong foundation in being todays Heavy Vehicle Driving Professional. This is the bare basics for someone to enter the workforce. This is what employers are asking for.

We not only train Heavy Vehicle Drivers but have the facility to offer the Heavy Vehicle experience to car learner drivers. This has been made possible with the addition of extra seating in the Prime Mover. Car drivers are able to jump in with an experienced Heavy Vehicle Driver Trainer and go for a drive to see just what challenges Heavy Vehicle drivers go through on a day to day basis.
Sometimes understanding Heavy Vehicle interaction goes along way to modifying driving behaviors, and if the guess work is taken away it can only help all concerned. Our integrated approach is upheld in all training at all levels.
